Miki Catherine is a seasoned professional dancer, performer, and instructor with over two decades of experience in the dynamic world of the industry of entertainment. Born into the realm of showbiz, her upbringing was steeped in dance, thanks to her mother, a seasoned choreographer, dancer, and producer. While unsure of her career path early on, dance became an inseparable part of Miki's life from a young age.
Embracing every opportunity to explore diverse dance styles and hone her skills, Miki Catherine emerged as one of the original members of Meccamee Dance Crew and contributed to renowned groups like Cultureshock Dance Troupe, and the UNLV Rebel Girls. Juggling full-time studies at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, she founded her own organization, The Vegas Gems, showcasing her leadership, discipline, and teamwork.
Upon earning her Bachelor's Degree, Miki Catherine opted for a life in show business over a conventional office job. Her remarkable journey includes being part of acclaimed shows like MJ Live!, Vegas! The Show, Matt Goss Residency Show, Hans Klock, A Lady Like and many more.Collaborating with esteemed choreographers like Brian Freedman, Gail Davis, Nappytabs, Chloe Arnold, Tiger Martines, Jaimee Gallego, Missy Cochran and more, Miki has graced televised shows such as the Good Morning America, Latin Grammys, BET Players Awards, Miss Universe, and PRIME TIME with James Corden.
Since the summer of 2021, Miki Catherine has held the prestigious role of Dance Captain for the DONNY residency show at Harrah's Las Vegas, featuring the legendary Donny Osmond.
In her dance career, Miki Catherine discovered a new love for partner dancing, starting with Salsa and expanding into Bachata and Argentine Tango. In 2018, she clinched first place in the Stage Tango category at the National Tango Competition, Argentine Tango USA, leading her to to participate at the International Tango Championship in Buenos Aires. Today, she shares her expertise by teaching and performing various partner dance styles with her husband and partner Savio Menezes e Silva.
Currently based in Las Vegas, Miki Catherine continues to shine as a professional dancer, performer, and instructor. She is now expanding as a choreographer for various corporate events in the Las Vegas Valley. Her aspiration is to perpetuate the love of dance through both captivating performances and enriching instruction.
Savio Menezes e Silva's journey in entertainment began early, inspired by his parents, who ere theater actors. This foundation introduced him to acting and eventually to folklore and partner dancing at a very young age. Over the years, he mastered various styles of partner dancing, earning first-place titles in numerous competitions. His passion for dance motivated him to pursue a dance teaching degree at the Federal Institute of Brasília in Brazil, where he also studied other artistic forms of dance such as Ballet and Contemporary.
While in Brazil, Savio taught a range of partner dances, including Samba, Zouk, and Argentine Tango. His deep connection to tango led him to co-found Brasília's first Argentine Tango Festival with his former partner. The festival continues to thrive, attracting world-renowned maestros and serving as a cornerstone for the tango community in the region. This dedication to tango teaching, performance, and community-building earned him a Prestigious Artist Visa to the United States.
After relocating to the United States, Savio quickly became a prominent tango instructor in his local community. He won first place in the Stage Category at the Las Vegas Tango Festival, solidifying his reputation as a talented performer within his first year in the new countr. It was in Las Vegas that he met Miki Catherine, with whom he formed both a professional and personal partnership. Together, they now teach weekly, choreograph, and perform regularly in the vibrant Las Vegas dance scene.
